Sometimes a change of plans makes way for an inspiring idea!
Unfortunately, due to busy schedules, our Christmas group shoot had to be postponed but as the time was already booked and the girls were all excited I decided to see who was still free to nip into town for a little 'mini' Christmas session!
I am glad that I went to the effort because Emily Rhodes and Paige Robins did a fantastic job - such young models (Emily, 15, coming on 16, Paige, 14) but so professional and well mannered!!
Not wanting to step on the toes of my grand group photo, I came up with two separate mini shoots for the girls to have a play around with.
Paige Robins
Paige went first - playing the part of my snow child, I made a seat out of
snow for her to sit in and later surrounded her with battery powered fairy lights. Paige wore a
feather print Asymmetric dress and the fur collar from my new coat.
Paige
has a beautiful, fresh face for photography - not much editing was
needed other than some custom made colour filters and a play around with
the levels. I decided to play on her age by keeping the make-up simple
and producing some innocent images, I particularly like the portrait of
Paige to the left.
Emily Rhodes
Emily wore my broken fairytale maxi dress, fairytale added by myself, matched with a 'fur' gilet, a Phase Eight chain belt and her own heels. For Emily's story I really wanted to portray a fashion piece with a dark side - Emily has the most incredible eyes - irises so light that the pupils pop out like an animals eye.
Emily took my direction perfectly, she is very tall and thin so the positions were sharp and strong.
These two images pictured here were my favorite from her set.
